The European Nonlinear Oscillations Conference (ENOC) has a long history and is a successor to the former International Conference on Nonlinear Oscillations (ICNO) series held from 1961 to 1990 in East-European countries. The first ICNO was held in Kyiv in 1961, and twelve ICNOs were organized until 1990. The first ENOC was held in Hamburg in 1992, and eleven ENOCs were organized until 2024, with 11th held in Delft
in 2024. Being a high-quality scientific event in the broad area of nonlinear dynamics, ENOC aims to be a meeting place for nonlinear dynamics scientists from all over the world encompassing many diverse topics ranging from dynamical systems theory to different engineering applications and bringing together scholars from theoretical and applied mechanics as well as from applied mathematics and physics.
Over the years, ENOC was organised in a number of European countries, and in 2027 this conference comes to the United Kingdom for the first time to be held in Aberdeen in 2027. ENOC 2027 is jointly organised by Professor Ekaterina Pavlovskaia, Dr Marcin Kapitaniak and Dr Vahid Vaziri from the Centre for Applied Dynamics Research (CADR) in the School of Engineering at the University of Aberdeen. CADR is internationally recognised multi-disciplinary research group with a strong focus on application of theory of dynamical systems to science and engineering and it has
organised successful international conferences in the field of nonlinear dynamics in the past, which includes, for example, IUTAM Symposium 2010 on Nonlinear Dynamics for Advanced Technologies and Engineering Design, CADR International Conference 2013 on Nonlinear Dynamics in Engineering: Modelling, Analysis and Applications, and International Conference on Engineering Vibration 2020.
ENOC 2027 will include a technical and social programme. The technical program will include 5 keynote lectures and a number of mini-symposia sessions on wide ranging topics of nonlinear dynamics. The social program involves welcome reception, the conference banquet and half day excursion in the beautiful Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. We look forward to welcoming you to Aberdeen from 19th till 23rd July 2027.
